Making an Ice Sled

You need a large cake pan (3"-4" deep) or a washtub
For greater stability,

place an onion bag (empty!) in the pan
Place a length of cord to create a handle and fill with water.
Some people do a long string; some create a loop

Freeze until solid, and then a bit longer!
Once done, you have a well frozen block
of ice with a handle to make the
slide a bit more ... steer-able!

When sledding, some people put a folded towel on top to keep it a little less chilly
